As a licensed psychologist and member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC), Dr. Soper provides cognitive behavioral therapy from a Christian world view. His clinical interests include providing effective individual and family therapy of adults and adolescents utilizing a blending of cognitive behavioral, psycho-educational, and social skill strategies. He received his M.A. and his Ph.D. from the California School of Professional Psychology and attended Illinois State University for his undergraduate degree in psychology. Dr. Soper is married to his beautiful wife, Jan, and has three daughters, Carmen, Meredith and Darrelle.

Dr. Soper is a clinical psychologist by training and has over 17 years of experience in a variety of settings including:

  • group private practice,
  • hospitals (e.g., emergency room, inpatient psychiatric, and State Hospital settings),
  • community mental health centers,
  • school corporations (e.g., student assessments / testing),
  • university counseling centers,
  • day treatment programs,
  • prisons,
  • etc.

Independently licensed as a Health Service Provider in Psychology (HSPP), Dr. Soper has experience with a wide range of issues including:
